Centrally located in the United States, the Black Hills of South Dakota are quickly becoming one of the most accessible areas in the country. While a scenic drive through South Dakota’s mountainous landscapes remains an idyllic adventure, traveling from the West Coast to the Black Hills has never been quicker thanks to Allegiant Airlines. In February 2024, Allegiant Airlines announced the addition of ten new nonstop routes, including a non-stop flight from Los Angeles International Airport to Rapid City Regional Airport.
Allegiant is one of five airlines that services Rapid City Regional Airport, with flights from Las Vegas, Phoenix, Orlando (beginning Spring 2024), and now Los Angeles. Flights will be offered bi-weekly in the summer season beginning June 14, 2024. This will be the only nonstop route from the West Coast to the Black Hills, with one-way fares available as low as $69.
